Quality Policy

The Project

 

Design and production of fittings for Piaggio Porters for use by the Urban Clarity.

 

> 01 input

The project involves the transformation of the vehicle produced by Piaggio, a Porter model with a tipper platform in a waste collection vehicle, equipped with an arm for lifting and tipping waste bins. The main objective is the search for the May load / weight ratio of the tank.

 

> 02 project

The entire project was divided into 3 groups:

01 The subframe: the structure necessary to fix the body on the vehicle,
02 The bathtub,
03 The tilting system.

 

> 02.1 the counterframe

The first phase is to design a tilting tank anchoring system to the frame.
The choice to use aluminum as a material is due to the need to reduce the overall weight while maintaining adequate structural rigidity.

> 02.2 the tub

A door has also been made on the right side to inspect the contents or to spill smaller containers. The bottom of the tank has been stiffened with the use of folded "omega" sheets welded directly to the bottom sheet.

 

> 02.3 the overturning system

The tilting system is also made entirely of aluminum. The main feature is to completely hide the actuators when the tank is lowered, giving the whole structure a more elegant line.
Furthermore, this solution gives us the possibility to increase the transportable volume. The tilting system consists of three hydraulic actuators.
The two side ones serve for the tilting of the tank, while the central piston serves for the overturning of the bins.
